Systemic Collaboration
Our mission is to positively impact our customers’ health, fitness, and happiness while greatly impacting our communities and environment for the better. The product itself has personally improved many team members’ health and lives. The programs we offer around the community get team members actively involved in helping their local communities, and we have one of the largest environmental sustainability grants in the country. With company growth being in the top 5% of the INC 5000 the past two years, teammates are optimistic about future of Athletic Brewing Company and their role in shaping that.
Positive Vision for the Future
Our team members were involved in the process of building out Athletic Brewing Company values. The founders and CHRO embarked to create five core company values and had decided upon those values independently. We then surveyed the team members and asked them to pick two single words that they felt best fit Athletic Brewing Companies values. The top five values were identical to the five values that were selected by senior leaders. Every year we do this exercise in the employee engagement survey to confirm drift is not occurring.
Alignment of Values
Our CEO has an open door policy and has set a low bar for team members to bring ideas into Athletic Brewing Company. Bill often makes time to make himself present at our manufacturing facilities and engages with team members regardless of level. A humility and desire to learn from all of leadership is an example for problem solving and growth exhibited throughout Athletic Brewing Company. The absence of egos often separates the people from the problems we are trying to mutually solve.
Respect
We hold annual listening meetings as a senior leadership team. The CEO, CPO, and CHRO make themselves available to hear from any team member regarding any topic in a group setting. The co-founders also hold idea hour once a quarter where team members can pitch ideas. Finally, we hold annual employee engagement surveys and conduct pulse surveys throughout the year.
