Why This Is a Most Loved Workplace® Certified Job
Systemic Collaboration
Greenleaf Trust focuses on a core culture that includes a commitment to continuous improvement. In 2024, we continued our yearly sales goal of 20% higher than the previous year. We were able to surpass this lofty goal by an impressive margin. This is an important achievement as this growth allows us to hire additional talented team members and to invest in additional training and education, as well as sophisticated tools and software to better serve our clients and empower our team members to provide the very best client service.
Positive Vision for the Future
Greenleaf Trust prioritizes team member feedback. Each year, we anonymously poll team members, our president analyzes the results, and the feedback shapes the focus of our annual Strategic Planning Meeting. This fosters continuous improvement, enables us to celebrate successes, and outlines a strategic roadmap for the upcoming year. Our CEO/President and Chief Human Resources Officer conduct small group Perspectives and Solutions Meetings to gather thoughts on current progress, answer questions, and seek input and solutions for proposed initiatives. These meetings provided the catalyst for change in areas including increased vacation time, paid maternity and paternity leave, and work location flexibility.
Alignment of Values
President and CEO, Mike Odar, reflects on the importance of four “Cs” – clients, colleagues, culture and communities. We are a service business in every good sense. Our esprit de corps compels us to support one another - always. In encouraging and applauding that service, our clients and teammates benefit. Our commitment to helping others is not just top down, but also bottom up. Odar encourages all teammates to engage in philanthropy, resulting in over 1,300 hours donated to nonprofits in 2024. Annually on President's Day, we participate in Day of Caring, volunteering individually or collectively for causes we’re passionate about.
Respect
Greenleaf Trust prioritizes inclusion, ensuring each team member feels valued and heard regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or belief. Our diverse staff, comprising over 190 members, underwent transformative inclusion training facilitated by Translator's Consulting Group, adeptly navigating diverse perspectives and emotions, guiding us towards shared meaning, a sense of belonging, and recognition. The training sessions promoted team unity and enhanced communication, relationship-building, and leadership skills. Our four DEI Committees focus on: Workforce, Workplace, Industry, Community & Philanthropy. Our overarching goal is to appreciate individual uniqueness, cultivating an environment where distinct talents flourish, acknowledging that everyone is SOMEBODY.
Killer Outcomes
We know that culture wins and culture with a great workplace environment and great talent multiples the opportunity to win. The four pillars of Greenleaf Trust include a focus on our clients, integrity and accuracy, continuous improvement, and teamwork. With our offices dispersed across the state, the integration of Microsoft Teams, as a communication tool, facilitates seamless and effortless communication and collaboration among team members.
