Employee engagement is essential to the transformation of our business — empowering Kyndryl to provide great service to customers. Kyndryl’s Annual Engagement Survey is one critical way we measure progress on our culture and becoming an employer of choice. Our employee engagement survey shows a large percentage of Kyndryl believe positive change will happen as a result of their feedback. The majority of Kyndryl believe we are continually improving the quality of our products and services and agree Kyndryl is making changes necessary to compete effectively.

At Kyndryl, we are a people-centric business focused on being at the heart of progress for our customers and our communities. In 2022, we introduced The Kyndryl Way — how we define our differentiating services-led culture that is based on collaboration, mutual responsibility, and excellence as we aim to be an employer and partner of choice. Since then, we have been transforming our culture through new behaviors, systems and symbols to embody these principles and ways of working. For example, we trained Kyndryl’s nearly 6,000 people managers in Leadership Behaviors workshops. We launched Leadership Development@Kyndryl — new, contemporary curriculum, workshops, resources, and tools for people managers to develop and hone their leadership skills. We also rolled out Kyndryl Leadership Behavior training and badges to help all Kyndryl activate The Kyndryl Way in their roles. We are proud that within our three years of our culture transformation, this extensive effort resulted in 88% of Kyndryl stating that their manager’s behavior is consistent with The Kyndryl Way.

Kyndryl CEO Martin Schroeter actively inspires Kyndryl to adopt our culture - what we call The Kyndryl Way - that is restless in pursuit of learning and innovation, empathetic in how we show up for each other, and devoted to shared success with our customers and partners. From his quarterly sessions where he shares business updates and celebrates successes to his global travels to Kyndryl locations to meet and engage with our people, he leads the way at putting our distinct culture at the heart of the decisions Kyndryl makes and the behaviors, systems and symbols Kyndryl adopts, reinforces, and rewards. Based on his leadership, Kyndryl values have driven our transformation of everything from performance management systems to simplification of procurement processes. Empathy is a core tenant of our culture. Our Empathy & Inclusion Index — an aggregate of workplace trust, respect, and belonging measurements — is above the industry average and approaching best in class. In our engagement survey, 90% of Kyndryl feel they are treated with respect at work and 87% feel they can be themselves at work . In three years as an independent company, we implemented offerings that Kyndryl tell us make them feel heard and valued, including: Kyndryl Inclusion Networks (employee-led resource groups open to all Kyndryl and dedicated to creating spaces where they can find and provide support and advice), Kyndryl Be Well (our comprehensive well-being strategy brought to life through a range of programs, benefits and policies that support Kyndryl’ physical, mental, social and financial well-being), sponsorship of communities of interest like environmental groups, Industry Guilds, Culture Ambassador Networks and local Kyndryl Cares volunteer activities year-round.

In 2022, we introduced The Kyndryl Way — a set of six key principles that define our services-based culture: We want to be restless, empathetic and devoted in the way we engage with one another, our customers, partners and communities; and we want to organize ourselves to be flat, fast and focused to better serve our customers as a true services organization. The Kyndryl Way is about how Kyndryl work together and deliver value; it’s foundational to our business growth. Being at the heart of our customers’ progress, we innovate — and seek the best outcomes for our customers as they drive their digital transformations. Part of this innovation is due in part to our investment in collaboration tools as we spun out from our old company and sunset legacy tools. Our massive Guild program promotes the global exchange of industry knowledge, technical ideas, professional learning, and innovative techniques. They harness Kyndryl’ combined intelligence and diverse perspectives to fuel collaboration and professional growth. Another proof point of collaboration: our technology consulting, delivery, and alliances experts around the world collaborated to develop Kyndryl Bridge, an open integration platform that leverages Kyndryl’s data-driven insights and expertise to provide more visibility into customers’ complex technology environment. These unique insights enable Kyndryl to collaborate and innovate in service of customers to provide exceptional service.
