Candidate will be involved in AI related research and development activities. This includes working closely with IT architects, ITBA Product teams, IT Infrastructure Operations, and Cyber Intelligence and Security teams to evaluate new tools and technologies, develop proof of value (POV) solutions, and implement AI solutions within Dominion Energy’s private cloud environment. Provides technical consulting and/or leadership on complex projects. Serves as technical expert in one or more areas of applications systems analysis and software development. Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems. Designs, codes, tests, debugs, and documents code. Works companywide in multi-platform environments, on multi-project assignments. Acts as a project work team or group leader. Guides and advises less experienced Software Engineers.

Requirements
- 10+ Years of experience in software development and systems analysis.
- 3+ years of experience in GenAI or AI/ML application development.
- 2+ years of experience in DevOps deploying Cloud hosted solutions.
- Advanced proficiency in .NET, React, Angular, Python, and SQL development.
- Advanced proficiency in working with SQL Server and Oracle databases and experience working with NoSQL databases.
- Advanced proficiency in developing applications using Microsoft Power Platform.
- Experience in developing Generative AI applications including RAG architecture, and model fine-tuning; experience with Agentic AI is a plus.
- Technical expertise in all aspects of application systems analysis and software development, with proven capability in creating detailed design documents.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with large and complex datasets.
- Strong understanding of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
- Experience in deploying AI solutions in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience in adapting to and applying rapidly changing technology to business needs.
- Good understanding of IT security best practices by applying depth and breadth of expertise in multiple related disciplines.
- Good self-starter who has ability to operate independently and demonstrates complete ownership over assigned objectives.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to effectively manage multiple, competing projects/priorities while achieving targeted completion results.
- Ability to maintain technical proficiency via self or formal training.
- Proven ability to collaborate with employees at all levels and to influence others.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams towards a common goal.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Project, Visio) and SharePoint.
