About the Role

At Port City Logistics, Inc., a Most Loved Workplace® certified employer in the Logistics space, Moving freight, building relationships, delivering excellence across North America.

We are looking for a licensed truck driver who will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods and other articles of trade to our customers. You will be tasked with driving and maintaining trucks that will be assigned to you, as well as working closely with our team of dispatchers in order to plan routes and track deliveries. A Class A CDL is required. Successful candidates must have a clean driving record and must pass a drug and alcohol test.

Requirements

  • A minimum driver's age requirement of twenty-three (23) years of age
  • License to operate the vehicle they have applied to operate (ie, CDL for commercial vehicles, state-issued driver's license for standard/non-commercial vehicles)
  • At least two (2) years verifiable driving experience
  • No more than two (2) driving violations for the past three (3) years
  • No more than two (2) preventable accidents in the past three (3) years
  • Can read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records
  • MVR check at initial hire and Annual Review/update
  • Prior Employment Check
  • Documented road test by a qualified senior company driver or person designated by PCL
  • Satisfactory physical exam
  • Pre-employment substance abuse tests
  • Interview with drivers to verify information submitted on their applications
