<h2><strong>What you’ll do</strong></h2>
<h3><strong>Responsibilities</strong></h3>
<p>Design, build, and maintain APIs, services, and systems across Stripes engineering teams using Ruby, Scala, and Go; Build software infrastructure, including developing, testing, and deploying it;&nbsp;Design and develop software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design;&nbsp;Engineer payments integration with various financial partners software systems;&nbsp;Develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation;&nbsp;Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack;&nbsp;Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine the feasibility of design within time and cost constraints;&nbsp;Work with engineers across Stripe to build new features at large-scale;&nbsp;Build new systems to securely store sensitive data;&nbsp;Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.</p>
<h2><strong>Who you are</strong></h2>
<h3><strong>Minimum requirements</strong></h3>
<p>Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field, plus 2 years of Software Engineering experience.</p>
<p><strong>Position also requires the following:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>2 years of experience working with Ruby, React, Typescript and AWS;</li>
<li>2 years of experience implementing industry standard design patterns;</li>
<li>2 years of software engineering experience building full-stack web applications at scale;</li>
<li>2 years of experience building frontend Javascript web applications;</li>
<li>2 years of experience designing backend systems and optimizing/tuning for performance and latency;</li>
<li>2 years of experience with database management in MongoDB;</li>
<li>2 years of experience using SQL, Presto and related query languages to perform data analysis;</li>
<li>2 years of experience designing intuitive APIs for users; and</li>
<li>1 year of experience testing and building reliable systems for payment processing.</li>
</ul>
<p>Salary: $156,800 - $235,200/yr.</p>
<p>This salary range represents the base salary range for the role and any sales commissions/ sales bonuses targets, if applicable, would be in addition to the base salary.</p>
<p>40 hrs/week</p>
<p>Up to 50% telework permitted.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Multiple Positions Available.&nbsp;</p>
