<p>Join our Technical Services team as a <strong>Senior Platform Architect</strong> and drive transformational outcomes with Temporal. You’ll be the accountable technical owner from purchase to stable production, turning complex challenges into scalable, repeatable solutions. Shape delivery patterns, operational standards, and enablement strategies that accelerate customer success and create lasting competitive advantage across teams and environments.</p>

<h2><strong>What You'll Do</strong></h2>

<p><strong>Own Production Readiness and Activation</strong></p>

<ul>

<li>Act as the single owner of customers' scale-proof production readiness</li>

<li>Drive the first production workflow and reduce time-to-production</li>

<li>Establish guardrails and best practices for reliability, failure handling, scaling, and upgrades</li>

<li>Make developers Temporal SDK experts, make customer platform architects Temporal Server and SDK best practice experts</li>

<li>Set up alerting to catch issues before customers do</li>

<li>Work on your assigned customers' most difficult tickets and problems</li>

<li>Identify and remove activation blockers early before they become escalations</li>

<li>Optimize costs and performance with customers</li>

</ul>

<p><strong>Run the Customer's Technical Program</strong></p>

<ul>

<li>Build and execute a KPI-driven success plan tied to production outcomes</li>

<li>Define standards for patterns, training, governance, and operational readiness</li>

<li>Lead cross-functional coordination of Professional Services, Support, Partners, and internal teams, leveraging project management to ensure on-time, high-quality delivery</li>

<li>Proactively manage technical risk, migrations, and architectural debt</li>

</ul>

<p><strong>Ensure Long-Term Technical Health</strong></p>

<ul>

<li>Set and validate reliability, observability, and operational standards</li>

<li>Monitor health signals and intervene before the customer knows they're happening</li>

<li>Lead technical reviews, readiness checkpoints, and maturity assessments</li>

<li>Certify teams and workloads as production-ready</li>

</ul>

<p><strong>Drive Adoption Through Production Success</strong></p>

<ul>

<li>Surface growth signals based on usage, maturity, and confidence</li>

<li>Partner with customers, Growth AEs and Solution Architects to unlock new workloads</li>

<li>Translate production success into clear technical narratives for renewal and growth</li>

<li>Advocate for customer needs and real-world patterns internally</li>

</ul>

<h2><strong>What You'll Bring</strong></h2>

<ul>

<li>6+ years of professional software engineering or solutions engineering experience</li>

<li>Strong understanding of distributed systems, workflow orchestration, and reliability engineering principles</li>

<li>Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Go, Java, TypeScript, or Python</li>

<li>Experience building, deploying, and operating production systems at scale</li>

<li>Demonstrated ability to debug complex technical issues and guide customers through resolution</li>

<li>Strong customer-facing skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences</li>

<li>Experience creating technical documentation, runbooks, and training materials</li>

<li>Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while collaborating across teams</li>

<li>Willingness to travel occasionally for customer engagements and team events</li>

</ul>

<h2><strong>Nice to Haves</strong></h2>

<ul>

<li>Prior experience with Temporal or similar workflow orchestration platforms</li>

<li>Experience with observability tools and practices for distributed systems</li>

<li>Background in professional services, technical consulting, or solutions engineering roles</li>

<li>Experience with Kubernetes, cloud platforms, and infrastructure-as-code tools</li>

<li>Contributions to open source projects or developer communities</li>

<li>Experience designing and delivering technical training or workshops</li>

</ul>

<h2><strong>Compensation</strong></h2>

<ul>

<li>The estimated pay range for this role is $200,000 - $225,000 OTE.</li>

<li>This is a base-salary, variable role with a 70/30 split.</li>

<li>Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Temporal's equity plan.</li>
