The Behavioral Health Technician is a member of the multidisciplinary team, who is directly involved in providing quality care for clients. The Behavioral Health Technician is responsible for providing structure and support services for the clinical team treating adults with substance abuse diagnosis and/or co-occurring disorders. Monitors and maintains a safe, therapeutic environment for staff and clients. Responsible for ensuring client’s rules and responsibilities are being followed throughout the day. Responsible for adherence to all policies and procedures of the agency. Maintains clean environment for clients during shifts. Maintain agency’s Code of Conduct, Laws of Confidentiality, HIPAA rules and regulations, and maintains appropriate boundaries with clients. Knowledge of facility and housekeeping department policies and procedures. Ability to use universal precautions when cleaning specific areas.
