<p>The Roadmap Planning & Program Management team sits at the intersection of strategy and execution with the aim of planning and delivering Airbnb’s priority products while providing executives the visibility and input they require to guide bi-annual releases.</p>

<p>You will be involved in driving impact on Airbnb roadmap and scaling product-focused program management. As our team grows, we are at the heart of the cross-functional collaboration that connects leaders across design, product marketing, engineering, supply, marketing, operations and other teams. Together, we drive the successful delivery of our roadmap while strategically partnering with key stakeholders to shape Airbnb’s future.</p>

<p>Program Managers drive key activities across several functions in the organization including design, engineering, product marketing, marketing, operations, and more. It is a highly leveraged role that aims to improve the quality and velocity of work across cross-functional, product development teams by acting as a “force multiplier”. They get things done by bringing clarity out of chaos, diving into the details, and communicating clearly and in a timely manner. They're good at building relationships, motivating others with vision, and persuading with data. Success in this role is defined by your ability to make an impact with your critical thinking, attention to detail, ability to zoom out and see the big picture, and influencing key stakeholders.</p>

<p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; color: #000000;"><strong>A Typical Day: </strong></span></p>

<ul>

<li>Partners with engineering, product marketing, design, community support, and other cross functional teams to deliver software product programs with the highest quality and on schedule</li>

<li>Understands dependencies across functions to optimize the overall system and deliver the highest quality offerings at scale </li>

<li>World-class communicator that can simplify the complex </li>

<li>Anticipates upcoming risks and issues and develops risk mitigation strategies proactively in a fast pace environment</li>

<li>Brings an experienced product mindset to tie strategy and execution together </li>

<li>Develops program plans that are unique to each initiative and require strategic thinking </li>

<li>Operates at a variety of altitudes by tailoring communication style and approach </li>

<li>Expert collaborator that is able to understand consumer, technology, and design</li>

<li>Goes beyond status reporting to drive issues to resolution </li>

<li>Understands best practices, drives improvements, and focuses on simplification</li>

<p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; color: #000000;"><strong>Your Expertise:</strong></span></p>

<ul>

<li>13+ years of  experience in a combination of program management, product management, or business operations managing sophisticated software product programs from end to end in a creative-led, fast paced environment</li>

<li>Strong product and/or technology experience including product management or engineering (software preferred) </li>

<li>Demonstrated ability of shipping software products at global scale having overcome a variety of challenges</li>

<li>Critical thinking skills to develop bespoke program plans that are custom to the needs of the specific program </li>

<li>World-class verbal and written communication skills that can simplify complex topics </li>

<li>Exceptional influencing and presentation skills </li>

<li>Proven ability to build strong relationships and be a trusted agent for change with business leaders (up to the executive level)</li>

<li>Track record for successfully managing ambitious and operationally complex projects with cross-functional teams across product development, product marketing, design, marketing, and operations </li>

<li>Expertise in using program management tools such as Airtable, Asana, Jira, Smartsheets, etc.</li>

<li>Thrives in ambiguity in a fast-paced, hyper-growth organization</li>

Currently, employees can not be located in: Alaska, Indiana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, Wisconsin, Alabama, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Delaware And Rhode Island. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
