About the Role

The Finance Director is a key member of the senior management team and is responsible for leading the finance function. This role combines strategic oversight with operational delivery, while remaining hands on ensuring that financial systems, processes, and controls are robust, scalable, and aligned with business objectives. As part of the scope of the role, the Finance Director may be invited to attend some Board meetings to present financial insights, contribute to strategic discussions, and support governance and investor engagement.

Requirements
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Proven experience as a Finance Director, Head of Finance, or senior finance leader in a high-growth or VC/PE-backed business
- Track record of strong cash management, financial modelling, and cost control
- Demonstrated success in designing and embedding scalable systems, controls, and reporting frameworks
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to challenge, support, and influence senior stakeholders
- Experience of M&A and exit processes is desirable
- Experience working in or with data, analytics, or science-led businesses with combined SaaS and Services and business models is highly desirable
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and operating hands-on in a fast-moving environment
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, problem-solving mindset
