Peabody Properties is seeking an after-hours Live-In Responder for an affordable community located in Salem, MA. The property is in close proximity to downtown Salem and in walking distance to restaurants and the waterfront. Compensation is a one-bedroom apartment with utilities included and $200 monthly stipend. Note: There is no tenancy initiated with this opportunity as the selected Live-In Responder will sign a Mere Use of Premises Agreement specific to the Live-In Responder role and term. The Live-In Responder works with the on-site management team and primarily responds to any after-hours emergencies or those taking place on weekends and holidays. They may also assist residents with activities that take place after hours, weekends and holidays. This position may retire for the evening at 11:00 PM and is not required to remain overnight awake, however, is available in case of an emergency to contact 911 and other emergency responders and allow access to the building—or to contact the on-call maintenance technician in the case of a property emergency. During the daytime hours a full-time Property Manager, Resident Service Coordinator, and Service Manager are on site along with individual supportive services. The Live-In Responder will also attend any evening building-wide Resident Meetings coordinated by Management as part of the on-site team. May be a fit for a Graduate Social Work Student or related field, individual with human/elder services work and/or related volunteer experience, bilingual English/Spanish speaking, and others; take classes and/or work during the day then as a Live-In Responder be on-site at the housing by 5:00 PM when the Management Office closes.
