In <strong>Japan Public Sector</strong>, we help central ministries, agencies, local governments, and public institutions use data and AI to deliver better, more trusted services to citizens.</p>
<p>You will be the senior technical leader for a set of strategic public sector accounts in Japan, using your executive‑level technical credibility and government expertise to shape and execute their data and AI strategy.</p>

<p><strong>The impact you will have</strong></p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Own technical strategy</strong> for key Japan public sector customers, defining the target architecture and roadmap for their Databricks‑based data and AI platform.</li>
<li><strong>Lead solution design</strong> for priority government use cases (e.g., citizen 360 and eligibility, program analytics, smart infrastructure, cybersecurity, fraud/waste/abuse).</li>
<li><strong>Design for security and compliance</strong>, ensuring architectures meet public sector expectations on data residency, access control, governance, and auditability.</li>
<li><strong>Turn pilots into platforms</strong>, linking Databricks to visible mission outcomes and using those wins to drive expansion across bureaus, departments, and levels of government.</li>
<li><strong>Influence the ecosystem</strong>, collaborating with SIs, cloud providers, and public sector partners to deliver integrated, production‑grade solutions on Databricks.</li>
<li><strong>Mentor others</strong>, coaching Solutions Architects and partners on how to work effectively with Japan public sector stakeholders and patterns on the Databricks platform.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong><br>What we look for</strong></p>
<ul>
<li><strong>10+ years</strong> in data platforms, analytics, or cloud architecture, including <strong>significant experience with public sector organizations in Japan</strong>.</li>
<li>Proven ability to <strong>build trust with senior government stakeholders</strong> (CIO, CDO, chief architect, bureau/department leaders) and lead high‑stakes technical discussions in Japanese.</li>
<li>Strong technical background in <strong>Data Engineering, Data Warehousing/Analytics, AI/ML, or Cloud Architecture</strong>, with a focus on solution design and platforms.</li>
<li>Experience architecting data and analytics solutions for <strong>public sector use cases</strong> (e.g., citizen services, program analytics, public safety, infrastructure, or cybersecurity).</li>
<li>Deep familiarity with <strong>Japan public sector decision‑making and delivery models</strong>, including how SIs and cloud providers support government projects.</li>
<li>Excellent <strong>communication skills</strong>, able to translate mission and policy needs into clear technical approaches and explain them to both technical and non‑technical audiences.</li>
<li><strong>Language:</strong> Native‑level Japanese and business‑level English.</li>
