We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Safety Director with expertise in trucking operations to lead our safety and compliance initiatives across our transportation fleet. In this pivotal role, you will develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive safety programs that ensure adherence to federal, state, and industry regulations. Your proactive approach will foster a culture of safety, risk mitigation, and regulatory excellence, supporting our commitment to operational integrity and driver well-being. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence safety standards in a dynamic logistics environment while ensuring seamless compliance with complex international trade and transportation regulations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in transportation safety management within the trucking or logistics industry.
  • Strong knowledge of FMCSA standards, transportation safety regulations.
  • Hands-on experience with customs brokerage management, customs clearance processes, and international trade regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability in regulatory compliance management across supply chain operations involving freight movement and export/import procedures.
  • Technical proficiency in global trade management software systems as well as advanced Excel data analysis skills for reporting purposes.
  • Familiarity with logistics compliance frameworks including FDA regulations related to shipping requirements.
  • Excellent report writing skills coupled with the ability to communicate complex regulatory requirements clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Prior experience managing fleet safety programs and implementing risk mitigation strategies in a fast-paced environment.
