Creating Challenging, Attainable, Desirable Goals: He holds his team to high standards, but those standards are built collaboratively, aligned with organization values, and designed to push the organization to go out of its comfort zone in support of the values. Empowerment and Accountability: Dr. Vanscoy is open-minded, collaborative, and supportive of his team. He empowers them to take responsibility, make decisions, provide suggestions, and collaboratively discuss the future of the organization. But he also holds his team accountable. Though he is supportive to the end, he tacitly expects that team members rise to the same level of drive and fortitude that has generated historical corporate, team, and patient success.
