<p>Procurement is part of Stripe Finance and owns the full supplier lifecycle and buying journey. The team sources and evaluates new vendors, renews and negotiates contracts with existing suppliers, and leads third‑party risk management and compliance activities to ensure suppliers meet Stripe’s standards. Procurement also drafts, reviews, and approves supplier contract structures and terms, aligned with Stripe’s risk appetite and legal requirements.</p>

<h2>What you’ll do</h2>

<p>We are looking for an early career Sourcing professional to focus on executing technology sourcing deals and contributing to the category strategy to improve how we procure SaaS licenses at Stripe.  You will work with business partners in the technology space at Stripe with a “users first” approach to ensure early and active participation across the full lifecycle of strategic sourcing and procurement, including: category planning, sourcing strategies, RFx execution, supplier evaluation and selection, contract negotiations and management, and continuous improvements. You will play a critical role in ensuring Stripe's procurement aligns with our operational principles by contributing to our sustainable growth while fostering strong, ethical supplier relationships. Experience with software negotiations is required.</p>

<h3>Responsibilities</h3>

<ul>

<li>Execute strategic sourcing plans for designated categories, identifying opportunities for cost reduction, quality improvement, and process efficiencies</li>

<li>Lead supplier selection, assessment, and contract negotiation processes, ensuring compliance with Stripe's policies and risk management protocols for allocated deals</li>

<li>Deliver on strategic sourcing management goals including cost savings and spend under management, and implement any necessary process enhancements to ensure that those goals are achieved</li>

<li>Evaluate existing supplier base and identify rationalization and/or RFx opportunities in partnership with business teams and Finance, allowing Stripe to maximize negotiating leverage</li>

<li>Work closely with Sourcing peers to help develop enterprise-level procurement solutions and increase supplier management effectiveness</li>

<li>Participate in establishing short-term and long range planning and budget development of Stripe to support strategic business goals<em> </em></li>

<h3>Minimum requirements</h3>

<ul>

<li>A minimum of 3 years of experience in indirect sourcing, procurement, category management, or a related field</li>

<li>Demonstrated ability to execute Strategic Sourcing activitiesProven negotiation skills and a track record of achieving significant cost savings and supplier value without compromising on quality or service</li>

<li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage and interpret complex data</li>

<li>Excellent communication and organizational skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to represent Stripe effectively by interfacing with and influencing experienced business leaders</li>

<li>Demonstrated experience successfully partnering with cross-functional stakeholders</li>

</ul>

<li>Self-disciplined, diligent, proactive and detail oriented</li>

<li>Comfort with a rapid pace of change, complexity, and working across matrixed functions, preferably within a fast-paced technology or financial services environment</li>

<li>Understanding or experience with e-procurement tools and systems (e.g., Zip, Workday Strategic Sourcing, Oracle, etc.)</li>

<li>Familiarity with the fintech industry and its supply chain and procurement challenges</li>
