<p>The Risk team builds trust, an essential ingredient for Stripe’s mission to increase the GDP of the internet. We make it possible for millions of businesses to access and use Stripe’s financial infrastructure while protecting our users, financial partners, and the broader ecosystem from harm.</p>

<p>Risk sits at the center of our users’ and Stripe’s ability to grow safely. We help legitimate businesses access Stripe’s financial services, provide credit to creditworthy businesses, and increasingly help users manage their own risk. We also prevent fraud and financial crime, manage Stripe’s credit exposure, meet our obligations to regulators and financial partners, and enable Stripe’s product teams to launch and grow products safely. To do this, we set the policies and standards that guide how Stripe manages risk and develop the advanced AI, infrastructure, and product experiences that put them into practice for Stripe and our users.</p>
