The Basics

Tanium is actively seeking a Program Manager to own the program management of product development activities – from ideation through go-to-market – for their assigned portfolio, partnering closely with portfolio product leaders within the CTO's organization.&nbsp;This is a build role, not a&nbsp;maintain&nbsp;role. You will&nbsp;contribute to the&nbsp;design, implementation, and&nbsp;iteration&nbsp;of&nbsp;program management processes&nbsp;for a spec-driven&nbsp;&amp; AI-first&nbsp;product development&nbsp;organization.&nbsp;The ideal candidate has a strong program/project management foundation, sharp judgment under ambiguity, and the confidence to drive cross-functional teams,&nbsp;including senior stakeholders,&nbsp;to&nbsp;decisions and deadlines. You will&nbsp;represent&nbsp;the Product Organization in collaboration with Engineering, UX, Enablement, and Marketing to usher products through the development lifecycle. A successful candidate is a self-starter who builds forward motion with incomplete information rather than waiting&nbsp;on&nbsp;full clarity.&nbsp;

This position follows Tanium’s hybrid schedule which currently requires employees to work in the office at one of the following locations a minimum of three days per week: Addison, TX; Bellevue, WA; Durham, NC; Emeryville, CA; or Reston, VA.

&nbsp;What you’ll do

<ul>

<li>Coordinate&nbsp;the&nbsp;spec-driven&nbsp;product launch&nbsp;process end-to-end&nbsp;–&nbsp;from ideation to delivery&nbsp;–&nbsp;for a product portfolio area. Building and continuously&nbsp;surfacing efficiencies to the&nbsp;process itself as you run it&nbsp;</li>

<li>Manage multiple concurrent workstreams across different stakeholders and&nbsp;different stages&nbsp;simultaneously, keeping each moving without waiting for perfect alignment before acting&nbsp;</li>

<li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams&nbsp;–&nbsp;subject matter experts, UX, Engineering, Enablement, Legal, and Marketing&nbsp;–&nbsp;driving them toward decisions rather than simply coordinating meetings&nbsp;</li>

<li>Develop first-draft materials for product enablement and marketing, working from directional input rather than a finished brief&nbsp;</li>

<li>Act as a proxy to the Product Managers whose portfolios you manage,&nbsp;representing&nbsp;their priorities and making calls in their absence&nbsp;</li>

<li>3+ years in program or project management, ideally having built or significantly matured a process rather than only&nbsp;operating&nbsp;within an existing one&nbsp;</li>

<li>Comfort&nbsp;operating&nbsp;in ambiguity&nbsp;–&nbsp;able to take a partial set of facts, make a reasonable call, and produce something concrete for others to react to, rather than gathering exhaustive requirements before starting&nbsp;</li>

<li>Excellent organizational and time-management skills&nbsp;and aptitude in&nbsp;leveraging&nbsp;cutting edge&nbsp;technologies –&nbsp;including AI tools&nbsp;-&nbsp;to drive greater efficiencies&nbsp;</li>

<li>Outstanding oral and written communication skills, including comfort delivering to executive audiences&nbsp;</li>

<li>Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to&nbsp;identify&nbsp;and correct errors&nbsp;</li>

<li>Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a hybrid work environment&nbsp;</li>

What you’ll get&nbsp;

The annual base salary range for this full-time position is $144,000 to $216,000. This range is an estimate for what Tanium will pay a new hire. The actual annual base salary offered may be adjusted based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, location, education, skills, training, and experience.
