About the Role

The Human Resources Specialist will review and approve payroll, prior to sign-off by AVP, Director HR Operations. This role will support the overall Human Resources function including but not limited to: payroll and benefits administration, compliance management, and compensation planning. To develop appropriate reporting tools, as required by the Human Resources department. This role will provide a consistently high level of customer service to employees. This role also provides general administrative support to the department and assists employees with enquiries related to payroll and benefits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a bachelor’s degree and 5+ years’ experience in human resources particularly in payroll and benefits
  • Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now, strongly preferred but not required
  • Experience processing payroll accurately and in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Demonstrated understanding of employee health and welfare enrollment and billing required
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel and advanced Microsoft Office skills required
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail with a strong comfort level in working with and understanding statistical data
  • Strong project management interpersonal skills
  • Strong customer service skills absolutely required
  • Candidates must be able to work independently and have a sense of urgency.
