The Platform team empowers other engineering teams at Shakepay by providing the tools, infrastructure, and best practices they need to be autonomous, productive, and reliable. As the Platform Engineering Manager, you’ll ensure we balance fast delivery with operational excellence. We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to lead and grow a team of platform engineers with a focus on Infrastructure, DevOps and developer experience. This role is responsible for people leadership, technical direction, and delivery across platform initiatives that impact every engineering team at Shakepay. You’ll partner closely with Engineers, Engineering leaders, Security, and Compliance, and lead by example, staying hands-on where it matters to shape technical decisions, support delivery, and ensure our platform evolves in step with both developer and business needs. You don’t need to be the deepest expert in every area, but you must be technically strong enough to set direction, challenge assumptions, and make tradeoffs across DevEx, infrastructure, and reliability.

Requirements
- Lead, coach, and grow a team of platform engineers across Infrastructure, DevOps and Developer Experience.
- Set technical direction for platform architecture and ensure roadmap execution.
- Balance short-term delivery with long-term investments in tooling, infrastructure, and reliability.
- Oversee cloud infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and operational tooling in a regulated environment.
- Improve developer productivity by reducing friction in onboarding, CI/CD, and local-to-production workflows.
