<p>An affiliate of Colossal is looking for a talented research associate in cell biology with an interest in the derivation, characterization, and gene editing in non-model mammalian organisms. You will work closely with other lab team members in efforts to innovate on protocols of genome editing, reprogramming and lineage differentiation using cutting edge technologies.&nbsp;</p>
<p>This position is based on-site in Dallas, TX. Relocation assistance is available.&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities:&nbsp;</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Derive and characterize stable cell lines from primary tissues&nbsp;</li>
<li>Microdissection skills for cell line derivations</li>
<li>Test novel cell culture conditions and delivery methods to optimize gene editing</li>
<li>Expand clonal cell lines for cryopreservation, genotyping and QC assays</li>
<li>Work with team members to interrogate targeting, genotyping and QC workflows&nbsp;</li>
<li>Assist with making edited cell lines that meet quality control criteria for downstream SCNT</li>
<li>Schedule, analyze and execute experiments to deliver on project milestones</li>
<li>Attend lab meetings, prepares reports and presentations on the progress of projects</li>
<li>Demonstrate great organizational skills and excellent laboratory record maintenance</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Required Skills and Abilities:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Experience in primary cell line derivation, culture optimization and cryopreservation</li>
<li>Experience with electroporation and transfection to maximize gene delivery and viability&nbsp;</li>
<li>Experience immunostaining cells for flow cytometry and fluorescent microscopy</li>
