<p>Datadog's Finance team partners with stakeholders across the organization, providing commercial, operational, and analytical support to ensure that Datadog’s business continues its rapid and efficient growth.</p>

<p>We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented <strong>Senior Accountant</strong> to join our growing accounting team. This role is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional to play a key part in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and a passion for ensuring accurate financial reporting.</p>

<p>As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for assisting in the month-end close process, preparing account reconciliations and financial statement analytics, supporting the preparation of internal reporting packages, supporting external audits, and assisting with ad hoc projects. You will collaborate cross-functionally with teams across Datadog, contributing to the continuous improvement of processes and internal controls.</p>

<h4>What You’ll Do:</h4>

<ul>

<li>Own key areas of the monthly, quarterly and annual financial close process, with a primary focus on Sales and Marketing expenses</li>

<li>Assist in preparing internal reporting packages, ensuring financial reporting is timely, accurate, and compliant with US GAAP</li>

<li>Perform analytics over financial results to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial statements</li>

<li>Investigate reporting discrepancies and communicate issues promptly to management</li>

<li>Serve as a key point of contact for year-end financial statement audits, quarterly reviews, and internal audit and SOX requests</li>

<li>Proactively recommend and implement process improvements to simplify, standardize and streamline accounting efforts</li>

<li>Partner with Sales, Marketing, FP&A and other teams to understand and support business processes, ensure proper accounting treatment, and resolve reconciling differences</li>

<li>Participate in special projects, including system implementations, process enhancements, and ad-hoc financial analyses<br><br></li>

</ul>

<h4>Who You Are:</h4>

<ul>

<li>3+ years of progressive accounting experience , preferably within a public company or Big 4, and hold a BS/BA degree in Accounting</li>

<li>CPA-certified (or on track to be certified)</li>

<li>A strong team player with a positive attitude</li>

<li>Strong technical accounting background with a knowledge of US GAAP, SOX 404, and SEC reporting standards</li>

<li>A proactive approach to problem identification and remediation solutions, and excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to interact and build relationships across all levels of the organization</li>

<li>Self-motivated and able to work under pressure, consistently meeting deliverables and deadlines while managing multiple tasks</li>

<li>Strong organization and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment</li>

<li>Flexible and analytical, with meticulous attention to detail</li>

<li>Experience with Netsuite, FloQast, and Workiva; familiarity with Smart View is a plus, but not required</li>
