<p>Trade As the <strong>Brand/Retail Director, Business Strategy & Development – Consumer Brands & Retail,</strong> you will be responsible for winning new clients within the Consumer Brands and Retail sectors with a primary focus on selling Goodway Group’s Full Funnel, Commerce Media, and Performance Creative capabilities. You will be a strategic hunter, leveraging your network, outbound prospecting, and industry events to build relationships with key decision-makers. Our ideal client would be either consumer brands looking for a partner to manage both national and retail media to increase sales and media effectiveness OR a retailer that is looking to incrementally grow overall media effectiveness and/or launch/expand shopper marketing and retail media in support of customer growth.   </p>

<p><strong>What You Will Do </strong></p>

<ul>

<li><strong>Drive New Revenue Growth:</strong>Identify, prospect, and secure <strong>net-new client engagements </strong>with mid-market <strong>Consumer and Retail brands</strong>,  </li>

<li><strong>Lead Outbound Prospecting & Thought Leadership: </strong>Develop a proactive outbound sales strategy, leveraging your <strong>network, industry events, and LinkedIn thought leadership </strong>to generate new opportunities. </li>

<li><strong>Sales Pipeline & Deal Management: </strong>Build and maintain a robust pipeline using Salesforce, ensuring <strong>consistent movement from outreach to closed business.</strong></li>

<li><strong>Consultative Selling Approach: </strong>Understand clients’ commerce media challenges and position Goodway’s capabilities (Full Funnel, Commerce Media, and Creative services)) as solutions that drive measurable business outcomes. </li>

<li><strong>Competitive Positioning: </strong>Navigate a competitive landscape articulating <strong>Goodway’s unique differentiators</strong>in Commerce Media, Retail Media Networks (RMNs), and Outcome Engineering™. </li>

<li><strong>Pitch Quarterback</strong>: Work in conjunction with Pitchlab and LoB stakeholders and assist in scoping and communication with prospects to meet/exceed SLAs in delivering pitch-related commitments  </li>

<li><strong>Cross-Functional Collaboration: </strong>Work closely with<strong>SVP, BDs, and Brand VPs </strong>to ensure a smooth handoff from sales to client success teams. </li>

<li><strong>Industry Representation: </strong>Represent Goodway at key<strong>industry panels, conferences, and networking events, </strong>serving as a recognized thought leader in commerce media. </li>

<li><strong>Legal & Pricing Negotiations: </strong>Lead pricing discussions and contract negotiations, ensuring deals are structured for long-term success and profitability. Establish yourself as a knowledge and thought leader across the industry, especially within your markets. Serve as Goodway Group spokesperson at key industry events, panels, and agency associations. </li>

<li><strong>Proven Sales Leadership:</strong>History of <strong>driving</strong> <strong>revenue </strong>through new business development. </li>

<li><strong>Integrated Media Expertise: </strong>Able to talk to client pain points around<strong>integrating brand, demand, and national and retail media.</strong> Also able to talk to how to effectively optimize media effectiveness and ensure granular and agile optimization. </li>

<li><strong>Commerce Media Expertise: </strong>Deep understanding of <strong>Consumer Brands and Retail Media, </strong>with knowledge of RMNs, full-funnel marketing, and data-driven performance strategies. </li>

<li><strong>Strategic Hunting Mindset: </strong>Demonstrated success in<strong>outbound sales, self-generated pipeline building, and enterprise deal-closing.</strong> </li>

<li><strong>Industry Network & Influence: </strong>Established<strong>network of decision-makers </strong>in Consumer Brands and Retail, with a strong personal brand as a <strong>LinkedIn thought leader and industry speaker.</strong> </li>

<li><strong>Competitive Acumen: </strong>Ability to <strong>navigate complex, competitive sales cycles </strong>against competitive agencies </li>

<li><strong>Storytelling & Negotiation Skills: </strong>Ability to craft compelling narratives that align Goodway’s solutions with client pain points. </li>

<li><strong>Collaboration & Executive Presence: </strong>Ability to work closely with senior leadership (GMs/VPs) and seamlessly transition client relationships post-sale. <strong> </strong></li>
