<p>Trade As the <strong>Brand/Retail Director, Business Strategy &amp; Development – Consumer Brands &amp; Retail,</strong> you will be responsible for winning new clients within the Consumer Brands and Retail sectors with a primary focus on selling Goodway Group’s Full Funnel, Commerce Media, and&nbsp;Performance&nbsp;Creative&nbsp;capabilities. You&nbsp;will be a strategic hunter,&nbsp;leveraging&nbsp;your network, outbound prospecting, and industry events to build relationships with key decision-makers. Our ideal client would be either&nbsp;consumer&nbsp;brands&nbsp;looking for a partner to manage both national and retail media to increase sales and media effectiveness OR a retailer that is looking to incrementally grow overall media effectiveness&nbsp;and/or launch/expand shopper&nbsp;marketing and&nbsp;retail media&nbsp;in support of customer growth.&nbsp; &nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>What You Will Do </strong></p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Drive New Revenue Growth:</strong>Identify, prospect, and secure&nbsp;<strong>net-new client engagements&nbsp;</strong>with mid-market&nbsp;<strong>Consumer&nbsp;and Retail brands</strong>,&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>
<li><strong>Lead Outbound Prospecting &amp; Thought Leadership:&nbsp;</strong>Develop a proactive outbound sales strategy,&nbsp;leveraging&nbsp;your&nbsp;<strong>network, industry events, and LinkedIn thought leadership&nbsp;</strong>to generate new opportunities.&nbsp;</li>
<li><strong>Sales Pipeline &amp; Deal Management:&nbsp;</strong>Build and&nbsp;maintain&nbsp;a robust pipeline using Salesforce, ensuring&nbsp;<strong>consistent movement from outreach to closed business.</strong></li>
<li><strong>Consultative Selling Approach:&nbsp;</strong>Understand clients’ commerce media challenges and position Goodway’s capabilities (Full Funnel, Commerce&nbsp;Media,&nbsp;and Creative&nbsp;services))&nbsp;as solutions that drive measurable business outcomes.&nbsp;</li>
<li><strong>Competitive Positioning:&nbsp;</strong>Navigate a competitive landscape articulating&nbsp;<strong>Goodway’s unique differentiators</strong>in Commerce Media, Retail Media Networks (RMNs), and Outcome Engineering™.&nbsp;</li>
<li><strong>Pitch Quarterback</strong>: Work in conjunction with&nbsp;Pitchlab&nbsp;and&nbsp;LoB&nbsp;stakeholders&nbsp;and&nbsp;assist&nbsp;in scoping&nbsp;and&nbsp;communication with prospects&nbsp;to&nbsp;meet/exceed SLAs in&nbsp;delivering&nbsp;pitch-related&nbsp;commitments&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>
<li><strong>Cross-Functional Collaboration:&nbsp;</strong>Work closely with<strong>SVP,&nbsp;BDs,&nbsp;and&nbsp;Brand&nbsp;VPs&nbsp;</strong>to ensure a smooth handoff from sales to client success teams.&nbsp;</li>
<li><strong>Industry Representation:&nbsp;</strong>Represent Goodway at key<strong>industry panels, conferences, and networking events,&nbsp;</strong>serving as a recognized thought leader in commerce media.&nbsp;</li>
<li><strong>Legal &amp; Pricing Negotiations: </strong>Lead pricing discussions and contract negotiations, ensuring deals are structured for long-term success and profitability. Establish yourself as a knowledge and thought leader across the&nbsp;industry,&nbsp;especially within your&nbsp;markets. Serve as Goodway Group spokesperson at key industry events,&nbsp;panels,&nbsp;and agency associations.&nbsp;</li>

<li><strong>Proven Sales Leadership:</strong>History&nbsp;of&nbsp;<strong>driving</strong>&nbsp;<strong>revenue&nbsp;</strong>through new business development.&nbsp;</li>
<li><strong>Integrated Media Expertise:&nbsp;</strong>Able to talk to client pain points around<strong>integrating brand,&nbsp;demand,&nbsp;and national and retail media.</strong>&nbsp;Also able to talk&nbsp;to&nbsp;how to effectively&nbsp;optimize&nbsp;media effectiveness and ensure granular and agile optimization.&nbsp;</li>
<li><strong>Commerce Media Expertise:&nbsp;</strong>Deep understanding of&nbsp;<strong>Consumer Brands&nbsp;and Retail Media,&nbsp;</strong>with knowledge of RMNs, full-funnel marketing, and data-driven performance strategies.&nbsp;</li>
<li><strong>Strategic Hunting Mindset:&nbsp;</strong>Demonstrated&nbsp;success in<strong>outbound sales, self-generated pipeline building, and enterprise deal-closing.</strong>&nbsp;</li>
<li><strong>Industry Network &amp; Influence:&nbsp;</strong>Established<strong>network of decision-makers&nbsp;</strong>in&nbsp;Consumer Brands&nbsp;and Retail, with a strong personal brand as a&nbsp;<strong>LinkedIn thought leader and industry speaker.</strong>&nbsp;</li>
<li><strong>Competitive Acumen:&nbsp;</strong>Ability to&nbsp;<strong>navigate complex, competitive sales cycles&nbsp;</strong>against&nbsp;competitive agencies&nbsp;</li>
<li><strong>Storytelling &amp; Negotiation Skills:&nbsp;</strong>Ability to craft compelling narratives that align Goodway’s solutions with client pain points.&nbsp;</li>
<li><strong>Collaboration &amp; Executive Presence:&nbsp;</strong>Ability to work closely with senior leadership (GMs/VPs) and seamlessly transition client relationships post-sale. <strong>&nbsp;</strong></li>
