About the Role

At Helaina in the Healthcare space, Advanced nutrition for vitality through precision fermentation.

In this role, you will work in our NYC lab to support all experiments. The successful candidate will be a hands-on, motivated self-starter with a strong sense of initiative. You are someone who is ambitious and would like to start a career in the biotech industry. Your role will be lab oriented, fast-paced and filled with opportunities to learn various biotech skills. Your efforts will be focused on assisting and supporting laboratory functionalities. You will also have the opportunity to participate in other business functions. The successful candidate is passionate about biotechnology, keeps up to date with life science news and is looking for a career jumpstart. This is a 6-month paid, in-lab position in NYC and applicants will be scheduled to work 20-29 hours per week.

Requirements

You are currently in an Undergraduate Degree program in biotechnology, biochemistry, molecular biology, microbiology, chemistry, chemical engineering, etc.
You have wet lab experience either through classes or internships
You have strong pipetting skills
You are able to perform basic calculations for dilutions and concentrations
You are able to travel and work on-site in our lab.
You have strong verbal and written communication
You are able to deliver projects and assignments within timeframes and budgets
You are willing to learn and motivated to work independently
You have an 'anything is possible' attitude and no ego
