We pair developing readers with expert reading tutors who provide daily, 15-minute, Science of Reading-based instruction that rapidly closes decoding gaps. Students across all demographics achieve the same outstanding results–an average of 2.4 weeks of reading skills growth per week of instruction–including students with IEPs, multilingual learners, students of color and those receiving free or reduced-price lunch. All Ignite Reading tutors must complete our Science of Reading Certification Program, a paid 7-week program consisting of asynchronous and synchronous lessons, peer practice, and tutoring simulation. The program provides comprehensive training in evidence-based reading instruction.

To set up your tutoring schedule, we ask for at least 3 hours of availability (beyond certification class time) at the same time every day, Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–8 p.m. ET. This allows us to schedule you for a minimum of 1.5 tutoring hours per day, with consistent availability from week to week throughout the school year.
