Why This Is a Most Loved Workplace® Certified Job
Systemic Collaboration
One of our cultural values is WE GO ALL OUT FOR IMPACT. We embody this through our commitment to revolutionizing the beauty industry, empowering everyone to express their own unique beauty as part of our positive vision for the future. Our people are tenacious about building an enduring and valuable company, prioritizing company results over processes or politics, striving for excellence, not just settling for good or great, when it makes a real difference in impact, and never letting the pursuit of perfection slow us down when “good” is enough.
Positive Vision for the Future
Our culture is underpinned by our four cultural values. Our values are not just words on a screen; they underpin the way we work, behave, and interact with each other. We integrate them into our interview process and rate performance based on them. It’s who we are.
Alignment of Values
Our CEO is a C-suite veteran who lives and breathes IPSY culture and values, but don’t take our word for it, his Glassdoor ratings are 90+%! He is a leadership presence in our weekly All Hands and monthly Strategy Sessions, providing insights and visions for our future. He is committed to transparent, open communication and has hosted a series of sessions for employees to get to know him in small groups and skip-level meetings, and he maintains an open door policy for all employees.
Respect
One of our core cultural values is WE RESPECT EACH OTHER AND COMMUNICATE HONESTLY. We foster an environment where feedback is welcomed and embraced, as well as provided quickly and constructively, valuing the opportunity it presents for growth and improvement.. Our communication is characterized by upfront honesty. We don’t gossip or say anything behind someone’s back that we wouldn’t say publicly. We address problems without hiding issues or mistakes, including from ourselves, to create a culture of accountability and self-awareness. We share information with each other openly, unless confidentiality is absolutely needed. We’re honest and transparent with our community, our creators, and our partners. During our weekly All Hands meetings, we share IPSY wins, campaigns, new hires, critical program and transformation updates, and Ask Me Anything, where employees can submit anonymous questions answered by our most senior leaders. We seek feedback from our employees year-round through our Annual Engagement Survey and Pulse Surveys. The feedback is then published, allowing us to identify recurring themes and take action. Additionally, our Culture Club plays a pivotal role in driving change based on the feedback we receive.
Killer Outcomes
Our employees collaborate through Slack, Zoom, Agile Methodologies (POD structures, Sprints, Retrospectives, etc.). We hold weekly All Hands meetings where we share IPSY wins, campaigns, new hire introductions, critical program updates, transformation updates, and hold an Ask Me Anything at the end. We hold a monthly Strategy Sesh to share our OKRs, and financial results.
