<p>Our finance team is responsible for shaping our understanding of how Stripe is performing as a business, as well as what our best opportunities are for continued growth. We’re looking for an experienced Entity Controller to join our International Accounting team. As a key part of our controllership team in Dublin,  you will help us build our technical accounting and financial reporting processes, work with business partners, financial partners, external stakeholders and our world-class engineers. You will help us develop best in class accounting processes and help track our progress within a fast-paced environment that’s growing globally.</p>

<h2><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></h2>

<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p>

<ul>

<li><strong>Lead</strong><strong> Financial Close Processes</strong>: Manage the monthly close of US GAAP books and local books, including balance sheet reconciliations, supporting schedules, flux analysis, and reporting deliverables.</li>

<li><strong>Statutory Audit Process</strong>: Own the financial statement preparation, technical memos, audit support, culminating in presentations to the board of directors.</li>

<li><strong>Technical Expertise</strong>: Maintain fluency with US GAAP and IFRS/ FRS102, producing necessary technical accounting memos.</li>

<li><strong>Cross-functional Collaboration</strong>: Partner effectively with Tax, Transfer Pricing, Treasury, Corporate Accounting, and Legal teams on diverse projects.</li>

<li><strong>Outsourcing Management</strong>: Carefully supervise finance outsourcing partners to ensure compliance and filing requirements are met timely and accurately</li>

<li><strong>Process Efficiency</strong>: Enhance existing processes through simplification and automation to drive efficiencies.</li>

<li><strong>Regulatory Compliance</strong>: Stay informed on changes in accounting and tax regulations in Ireland.</li>

<li><strong>Tax Review</strong>: Oversee the preparation & review of direct and indirect tax returns.</li>

<h2><strong>Who You Are</strong></h2>

<h3><strong>Minimum Requirements</strong></h3>

<ul>

<li><strong>Experience</strong>: 8+ years in accounting, preferably trained in audit (Big 4 preferred) and industry experience.</li>

<li><strong>Systems Proficiency</strong>: Excellent knowledge of accounting systems (Oracle or equivalent).</li>

<li><strong>Audit Knowledge</strong>: Experience with large audits (central and local teams) and tax filings.</li>

<li><strong>Accounting Expertise</strong>: Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and FRS102/ IFRS.</li>

<li><strong>Project Management</strong>: Demonstrated success in managing cross-functional initiatives.</li>

<li><strong>Communication Skills</strong>: Fluent written and verbal communication in English.</li>

<li><strong>Adaptability</strong>: Flexible with changing requirements in a fast-paced, growing environment.</li>

<li><strong>Certification</strong>: ACA, ACCA, CIMA</li>

<li><strong>Consolidation Experience </strong></li>

<li><strong>Degree</strong> in Accounting or Finance background</li>

<li><strong>Problem Solver</strong>: Strong passion for solving complex challenges</li>

<li><strong>Self starter</strong></li>

</ul>

<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p>

<ul>

<li><strong>Background</strong>: Knowledge of or experience in the payments, fin-tech, or financial services industries.</li>

<li><strong>Tech Experience</strong>: Accounting experience in a fast-growing tech environment.</li>

<li><strong>Technical Skills</strong>: Hubble/SQL experience beneficial.</li>
