<p>At its core, Stripe is a treasury company, and the Treasury Finance team plays a key role in building the Global Payments and Treasury Network. Treasury Finance Operations supports the strategy, execution, and ongoing operation of core Treasury Finance functions, including cash management and forecasting, bank account management, investment execution and oversight, and intercompany funding.</p>

<p>Treasury Finance is investing in artificial intelligence to transform how the team operates. In this role, you'll work at the intersection of Treasury Finance expertise and applied artificial intelligence to build and scale the Treasury Finance artificial intelligence strategy. You'll work within a globally connected team to build AI-powered agents and automation solutions that make operational workflows faster, more accurate, and more scalable.</p>

<h2 id="what-youll-do">What you'll do</h2>

<p>You'll work closely with Treasury Finance subject matter experts and the broader Finance artificial intelligence ecosystem to build and operationalize AI agents and automation solutions that transform how Treasury Finance teams work. You'll move from understanding manual workflows to shipping working solutions and enabling the team to maintain them independently.</p>

<h3 id="responsibilities">Responsibilities</h3>

<ul>

<li>Build and operationalize AI agents for Treasury Finance use cases, including cash forecasting, bank account management, alerting, reporting, and workflow automation, using internal Stripe agent platforms and automation tools</li>

<li>Automate manual, repetitive Treasury Finance processes by identifying high-impact opportunities, designing scalable solutions, and iterating based on team feedback</li>

<li>Drive the Treasury Finance artificial intelligence strategy by maintaining a prioritized automation backlog, tracking impact, and contributing to the long-term artificial intelligence roadmap with Finance AI Solution Architecture and domain leads</li>

<li>Design and maintain knowledge layers and data pipelines that improve agent accuracy, including structured reference data, validation frameworks, and data-quality controls</li>

<li>Scope automation opportunities independently, navigate platform constraints through practical workarounds, and balance speed and quality to deliver impact</li>

<li>Explore and prototype artificial intelligence applications that address emerging Treasury Finance challenges</li>

<h2 id="who-you-are">Who you are</h2>

<p>We're looking for a technical problem solver with Treasury Finance expertise who is excited about using artificial intelligence. If you meet the minimum requirements for the role, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.</p>

<h3 id="minimum-requirements">Minimum requirements</h3>

<ul>

<li>Bachelor’s degree in finance, mathematics, computer science, engineering, or a related field, with 3+ years of experience in software development, data science, Treasury Finance, or related roles</li>

<li>Experience using emerging artificial intelligence and large language model tools, conversational interfaces, prompt engineering, automation platforms, robotic process automation, and frameworks such as LangChain and LangGraph to build artificial intelligence applications and agentic systems</li>

<li>Solid understanding of artificial intelligence fundamentals, including deep learning, natural language processing, and generative artificial intelligence</li>

<li>Familiarity with Python, Databricks, data pipelines, extract, transform, and load processes, extract, load, and transform processes, and coding with artificial intelligence assistance, along with proficiency in SQL for data analysis and pipeline logic</li>

<li>Track record of independently scoping and delivering technical process-improvement solutions, with strong problem-solving and investigative skills to identify root causes, debug complex problems, and resolve data inconsistencies</li>

</ul>

<h3 id="preferred-qualifications">Preferred qualifications</h3>

<ul>

<li>Familiarity with the payments industry and financial technology landscape</li>

<li>Experience with Databricks and cloud platforms, including Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, or Microsoft Azure</li>

<li>Software engineering experience with Ruby</li>

<li>Experience working in technology companies with rapidly evolving processes and tools</li>
