Over a decade ago, when I founded SmartRecruiters, the vision was simple: connect people to jobs at scale by making hiring easier. That higher purpose, our big 'why', was my North Star from day one. Today, as SmartRecruiters enters into a definitive agreement to be acquired by SAP, I come back to that founding mission. We always believed that if we could remove friction from recruiting, we’d empower more people to find jobs they love, especially in the world of AI. That 'more people' used to be a few thousands a year, then it became a few millions and now, in the last 12 months, it’s 140 million people that have used SmartRecruiters. As we enter this next chapter, our purpose remains unchanged and stronger than ever. Our success was never just about business; it was about a purpose, a movement to make hiring better, more fair, more collaborative, more transparent. Today, I am extra grateful for every Smartian, customer, and partner who believed in our mission. I can’t wait to see the many more thousands of enterprises and millions of people that Rebecca and the team will help on their quest to hiring success.
