<p><strong>Summary:</strong></p>

<p>We are looking for a high-impact, versatile Director of Product Management to lead the strategy and execution behind growing ZipRecruiter’s job seeker base. In this role, you will be the primary driver behind how millions of people discover work, focusing on driving user acquisition and creating an amazing job discovery user experience.</p>

<p>You will lead the vision and execution for core job seeker products across our web and mobile discovery interfaces, collaborating with cross-functional teams and multiple engineering squads to build personalized, AI-driven features. As a "player-coach," you will be expected to zoom out to set growth strategies and build clear success metrics, and zoom in to manage a team of product managers and ensure strong execution. </p>

<p><strong>Key Focuses:</strong></p>

<ul>

<li><strong>Drive Growth:</strong> Own all job seeker acquisition strategies and user experiences. This includes SEO, Generate Engine Optimization (GEO), SEM, etc… You’ll also be expected to ideate, test, and grow new acquisition tactics. .</li>

<li><strong>Own Search & Discovery:</strong> Own the product roadmap for our search and discovery experiences. </li>

<li><strong>Champion AI-Driven Development:</strong> Lean into ZipRecruiter’s AI-first DNA to build personalized, proactive experiences that act like a personal recruiter for every seeker.</li>

<li><strong>Coordinate Marketplace Fit:</strong> Partner closely with Employer-side product teams to ensure a healthy, balanced marketplace where seeker actions lead to successful hires.</li>

<li><strong>Lead & Mentor:</strong> Manage and grow a high-performing team of Product Managers, fostering a culture of ownership and excellence.</li>

<li><strong>Act as an Owner:</strong> Take full accountability for your product domain, from high-level KPI setting to the nuances of daily execution.</li>

</ul>

<p><strong>Minimum Qualifications:</strong></p>

<ul>

<li><strong>Proven Leadership:</strong> 3+ years of experience managing a team of at least 2 product managers, with a track record of developing talent.</li>

<li><strong>B2C Expertise:</strong> Deep experience building consumer-facing products at scale, with a strong intuition for user behavior and growth loops.</li>

<li><strong>AI/ML Fluency:</strong> You aren’t just a fan of AI; you understand how to leverage Machine Learning to solve user problems and have experience building AI-powered product features.</li>

<li><strong>Strategic Versatility:</strong> You are a "smart generalist" who can be thrown at any complex problem—whether it’s a technical architectural hurdle or a brand-new market opportunity—and figure it out.</li>

<li><strong>Player-Coach Mentality:</strong> You are comfortable presenting to the C-suite one hour and diving into prototypes or data dashboards the next.</li>

<li><strong>Self-Motivation:</strong> You are highly driven and thrive in an environment where you are given the autonomy to drive massive impact.</li>

<li><strong>Deeply Analytical: </strong>You are a data-obsessed problem solver who doesn't just look at dashboards but interrogates the "why" behind the numbers.</li>

</ul>

<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p>

<ul>

<li><strong>Marketplace Experience:</strong> Previous experience at a two-sided marketplace (e.g., jobs, real estate, rideshare).</li>

<li><strong>Search & Personalization Expertise:</strong> Prior experience building, scaling, or optimizing consumer search engines, information retrieval systems, or recommendation loops.</li>

<li><strong>B2C Growth Specialization:</strong> Specific experience in performance marketing, SEO, or viral loops for seeker acquisition.</li>

<p>#LI-Remote</p>

<p>The US base salary range for this full-time position is $250,000-$302,500. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location, and the range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location, role-related knowledge and skills, depth of experience, relevant education or training, and additional role-related considerations.</p>

<p>Depending on the position offered, equity, bonuses, commission, or other forms of compensation may also be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.</p>
